Making a referral: Good referral guidance

Each agency will have their own guidance and protocol for making safeguarding referrals, these will be legally compliant. Where there is uncertainty in terms of the criteria, always speak to your Management Team / Senior Workers in the first instance and if still unsure any Professional referrers can call Wiltshire Adult MASH on (01380) 826510 to discuss the issue directly, if this is not possible you should not be discouraged from making a referral, ‘if in doubt refer’. Guidance and and information about making a ‘good’ adult safeguarding referral can be found here

A brief guide for referring into Adult MASH that has been developed by the partnership can be accessed here.
